The 2010 Movie Triple Tap (枪王之王 / Cheung Wong Chi Wong) movie was a bit hit in Asia and was directed by Tung-Shing Yee and starring Louis Koo, Daniel Wu and Charlene Choi. The plot weaves together competition IPSC shooters with cops and robbers on the streets of Hong Kong, the movie features a variety of firearms not least of which where the flashy raceguns.

Daniel Wu plays Chong Tze-wai, the Hong Kong Police Officer and competition shooter who gets tangled up in the story. A champion IPSC shooter, the opening scene sees Chong blaze through a visually stunning IPSC course with this competition weapon - a highly customized M1911 with an assortment of racegun style open class modifications.

Redwolf Airsoft sponsored the movie with raceguns, IPSC equipment like timers and chronographs, Wiley X protective eyewear and outfits. Airsoft Surgeon played the role of Range Officer on camera and also acted as the firearms and IPSC consultant to the movie, sharing his insight on how to act out the shooting sequences in an authentic manner. (Redwolf is included in the ending credits, and you'll see competitors of the intial IPSC scene sporting RedWolf caps)

Airsoft Surgeon, who played the range officer in the movie, created this one-of-a-kind custom gas blowback pistol based on the Tokyo Marui Hi-Capa system, and it features extensive use of custom parts and work emulating Chongs competition pistol from the movie. A Strayer-Voigt SV silver lower frame sits under the Brazos Custom BCG SX Limited Edition silver frame; all riding on the bold red STI lower frame / grip.

Skeletonised trigger and hammer accent the single-action short-stroke cycle for quick, crisp shooting, the short stroke not locking but allowing it to be cycled faster and a disabled grip safety for easier quick shooting. The 6 inch barrel features a compensator which extend the aesthetic design of the frame, the inner barrel running right up to the front for maximum length as the design allows.

A CNC Aluminium mount is drilled into the frame, attaching a reflex style dot sight; the electronic optic having a lightweight polymer housing, large sight picture to aid fast draw shooting and engaging targets on the move. Iron sights are completely absent with the rear iron replaced with a cocking handle to speed up those manual slide cocking actions.

Each weapon comes bundled with an Airsoft Surgeon Design Range Bag (AS-RB); a handsome and robust yet casual and compact carry bag that can hold a race pistol, up to 6 magazines and a various assortment of small tools. The set also comes with a DVD of Triple Tap (NTSC 3, Region 3). These weapons will only be made in a very small numbers so if you are an avid collector then you would be best served picking one up sooner rather then later.
