co2 Airsoft Rifles
During the 1980s airsoft started first in Japan, as ownership of guns by citizens was illegal. Thus with no access to real guns, the demand for firearm replicas increased. From that high demand was when airsoft surfaced, a dream come true for those that aspire to own a gun.
Airsoft guns started out as spring power guns, as Japan developed the airsoft guns further they eventually evolved into fully automatic gas and battery-powered airsoft guns. As time goes by airsoft will continue to evolve with new and improved weapons to be released, becoming closer and more realistic to the real steel counterpart. With new innovations such as hop-up units, blowback, or Polar Star technology, they are becoming much more accurate and powerful. Though co2 airsoft guns are the most expensive out of spring-powered, and electric, the growing popularity of airsoft continues to make airsoft guns more affordable so everyone can enjoy the sport.
CO2 Airsoft rifles may not kick as hard as a firearm, there’s still some recoil and it feels good. What defines a co2 airsoft rifle is that its short, compact, selective firing modes and shooting power between an SMG and sniper rifle.
Modern rifles are used nowadays by many soldiers in warfare combat as they are very versatile and can be used in all situations, yes even sniping or CQB. It is also the best platform to create your dream gun as everything can be customized. Yes, when we say everything we really mean it. From rail, barrels, internal parts, pistol grip, receiver, buttstock, buttstock tube, and trigger! Let’s not forget all the tactical accessories we can add too which can provide some advantage in combat.
What to Look for in a co2 Airsoft Rifle?
When it comes to co2 rifles there really are not too many choices as it is not the most popular platform airsofters use for gaming. The only choices of co2 rifles available are World War I & II types or the shell ejecting XR25-EC. But when it comes to these kinds of co2 airsoft rifles you want to look for something that can support aftermarket parts and functional. It also depends on what you’re after, whether that be a collector of guns or something to game with.

How Does a co2 Airsoft Rifle Work?
CO2 Airsoft rifles work in a simple manner, a co2 capsule is stored usually in the buttstock or magazine. Then a valve inside keeps it from escaping and loaded into the gun. Every trigger you pull strikes the latch which forces pressurized air out at the BB that’s sitting in the hop-up chamber. This will create a rolling motion of the BB inside the inner barrel which eventually makes its way out the barrel towards your target. But co2 does have an advantage over green gas in cooler temperatures as it is more stable due to the high pressure.
