Umarex (Elite Force) and Glock have been releasing different models and generations of licensed airsoft Glocks to the market for several years now, with VFC manufacturing most of the different replica models from different generations and GHK releasing the premium steel GHK Glock 17 Gen 3 but all of these airsoft replicas are not optics ready, which begs the question from most airsoft Glock enthusiasts, as Glock released the MOS back in 2015. The MOS for those who are unfamiliar, is an acronym that stands for Modular Optics System, A real steel Glock with the MOS feature allows shooters to install a variety of different optics with different footprints.

Well, that dream is coming to fruition with Umarex (Elite Force) now pairing with SRC to create probably the most popular and newest version of Glock to receive the MOS treatment - The Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS! Other than the obvious feature of this particular airsoft pistol, the Umarex (Elite Force) Glock 17 Gen 5 MOS GBB Airsoft Pistol (by SRC) is dual power ready right out of the box, which means it doesn't matter if you purchase the green gas variant or the CO2 variant, if you wish to run either green gas or CO2 just get the corresponding magazines and it is just plug and play after that. SRC did note that by using green gas, you will get an average FPS output of 290 FPS while CO2 would fetch up to an average of 310 FPS.

This airsoft Glock 17 Gen 5 is a replica of the MOS model and just like its real steel counterpart is optics-ready of out the box, and also like its real steel counterpart comes with 4 different optics plates to accommodate different popular red dots and their footprints, allowing you to run almost any red dot optics that you could think of. The airsoft version faithfully replicas the same features externally. The pistol works on regular green and fires with a crisp, fast cycle. The added benefit of this being a product licensed by Umarex (Elite Force) and Glock is that it can also work with many other accessories designed for Glocks such as weapon lights, holsters, etc.

Being a product fully licensed by Umarex (Elite Force) and Glock, all the corresponding markings are the same as what you will find on the real firearm.
