This product is only compatible with gas designed specifically for Airsoft guns. Do not use lighter fluid or butane gas, as that will cause permanent damage.
The MP IX, an evolved successor to the Steyr TMP, was purchased at a modest price of a single Austrian shilling. This modernised iteration of the TMP project was developed by its manufacturer of the 9mm platform, who was an avid fan of the 9mm platform. The MP IX features a folding stock for improved stability, a standard Picatinny rail interface for optics and accessories, and a revised trigger safety design. This Personal Defence Weapon (PDW) serves as an excellent alternative for precision and rapid deployment in close-quarter situations.
Maruyama has accurately replicated this compact PDW as a Gas Blowback Submachine Gun, designed for ease of use in confined spaces or during prolonged engagements. The polymer construct of the SMG includes a steel outer barrel equipped with an MP9 Tri-lug Quick Detach (QD) mount solution, facilitating the swift attachment and removal of the included short BT-style suppressor. Additionally, a tracer module can be installed within the suppressor, although shimming may be necessary. The MP IX is also fitted with Picatinny rail interfaces on the top and sides, along with a rotatable Picatinny rail on the suppressor, allowing for the mounting of optics and accessories tailored to the shooter's preferences. The SMG is equipped with a foregrip for enhanced stability and control, as well as a modular folding stock that can be adjusted for improved stability or compactness for storage and manoeuvrability in tight spaces. The latest iteration of the fire selector has transitioned from a cross-bolt design to a more user-friendly HK-style selector, complemented by an updated trigger safety mechanism. The folding stock can be substituted with a Picatinny stock adaptor or tube adaptor to accommodate Picatinny stocks or traditional AR/M4 stock options.
At its core, the platform features an ambidextrous fire selector for SAFE-SEMI-AUTO modes, along with a pinchable charging handle, allowing for ease of manipulation when shooting from the support hand. The hammer set and base of the feeding nozzle are constructed from steel, ensuring durability and longevity. Utilising the same straight magazine found in Maruyama's SCW/SCP 9 GBB series, the translucent polymer magazine includes dummy sticker magazines for a more immersive experience. Its transparent shell allows users to monitor the BB capacity of the 45-round magazine in real-time, providing valuable updates for shooters.
