The Glock pistol is one of the most widely used and easily recognized pistols. This particular one, the Umarex (Elite Force) Airsoft Glock 19 Gen 3 (By VFC) is patterned after their Glock 19 Gen 3 model. The Glock Gen 3, was first introduced In 1998 with the Glock 17 Gen 3, Glock modified their Gen 2 frame to have an accessory rail (called the "Universal Glock rail") to allow the mounting of laser sights, tactical lights, and other accessories. The thumb rests on both sides of the frame and finger grooves on the front strap were added. Glock pistols with these upgrades are informally referred to as (early) "third-generation" models. Later third-generation models additionally featured a modified extractor that serves as a loaded chamber indicator, and the locking block was enlarged, along with the addition of an extra cross pin to aid the distribution of bolt thrust forces exerted by the locking block. This cross pin is known as the locking block pin and is located above the trigger pin.
The Glock 19 is effectively a reduced-size Glock 17, called the "Compact" by the manufacturer. It was first produced in 1988, primarily for military and law enforcement. On the law enforcement side the Glock 19 is adopted by many police departments across the globe as many police officers complained that the full-size Glock 17 is far too large for everyday carry as it is uncomfortable to sit down in patrol cars since the frame is too large and having 15 rounds is more than enough for most engagements, In the military spectrum the Glock 19 is adopted by the some of the best operators, United States Navy SEALs as the MK27 replacing the MK25 which is based on the SIG Sauer P226. Due to its compact nature, status, and legendary reliability, the Glock 19 is also a favorite among civilian shooters as an EDC or everyday carry a gun for self-defense.
The Umarex (Elite Force) airsoft Glock 19 Gen 3 faithfully replicas the same features externally. The Umarex (Elite Force) airsoft Glock 19 Gen 3 works on regular green and fires with a crisp, fast cycle. The added benefit of this being a product licensed by Umarex (Elite Force) and Glock, is that it can also work with many other accessories designed for actual Glocks such as weapon lights, holsters, etc. without having to worry if your airsoft Glock 19 Gen 3 pistol will be to spec.
Being a product fully licensed by Umarex (Elite Force) and Glock, all the corresponding markings are the same as what you will find on the real firearm.
