DNA M16A1 Carbine / MOD 653 14.5 inch Airsoft GBB Rifle - Limited Edition

The M16A1 rifle is a name that is familiar to the average gun guy or airsofter alike, after all, it was used in the Vietnam War, but the MOD 653 is not something we hear a lot about. This is because the MOD 653 is a carbine-style rifle based on the venerable M16A1 and most other AR carbines in the era such as the XM177, the 651, 652, 653, and 654 are all just known as the CAR-15. The MOD 653 rifle features a 14.5-inch carbine barrel, a birdcage-style flash hider, and an aluminum 2-position stock and it retains the teardrop-style forward assist. The MOD 653 was bought in significant numbers by the US military for commandos and close protection units, but it was most notably used by the Philippines Military and the Israeli Defense Force, the IDF is also the largest user of the M653 rifle.

The receiver is made of high-quality 6061 T6 grade CNC milled aluminum, an aluminum stock, a steel 14.5-inch barrel, steel switches, buttons as well as the flash hider. Speaking on the flash hider, in an effort to make this replica even more realistic, the threadings on this flash hider are of a real steel 1/2 28 thread. Internally, this rifle utilizes the proven VFC V2 M4 / AR 15 gas system and comes with a VFC V2 30-round M4 / AR15 style gas magazine.
