Tokyo Marui SG553 Plus Airsoft AEG Rifle

The Tokyo Marui SG553 Plus Airsoft AEG Rifle is the latest rifle designed for the Marui SIG550 lineup. It is a compact and high-performing electric rifle that combines Marui quality performance with Swiss design aesthetics that provide unique performance for airsofters. Inspired by the Swiss SG553, this rifle is built for tactical and close-range gameplay.

Constructed from reinforced polymer, the SG553 Plus offers lightweight handling and long-lasting durability. It features Tokyo Marui's hybrid mechanical-FET switch system, which enhances trigger response and semi-auto consistency, along with the PLUS system, a microcontroller unit that actively monitors the FET, enhanced battery and motor performance, and higher safety standards. An improvement over its previous models, the Marui reinforces its internals with steel-reinforced gears and pistons, and a revised trigger mechanism for smoother trigger pull with minimal friction, enhancing the overall longevity of its internals in the long run. With an inner barrel of 247mm and a muzzle velocity of about 300fps, this carbine prioritises precision shooting over sheer power, great for close to mid range engagement fields with an adjustable hop-up system to set the shooters ideal precision shots, with compatibility with 8.4V NiMH batteries and MS Li-Po batteries ensures reliable power options.

As the latest rifle from Marui, the SG553 is compact rifle with an overall lightweight yet durable build, thanks to its high-rigidity reinforced resin build, the carbine is convenient to manipulate in enclosed environments, with ambidextrous fire controls for left- and right- handed shooters with semi and full auto fire options, Picatinny rail interface that allows the attachments of various peripheral accessories for a more personalised rifle, and a folding stock for a more compact build or transportable convenience. Marui SG553 mag revises and improves the SG552 magazine, bringing a sense of immersive realism with its visually appealing faux bullet housing, while Marui introduces a new, reliable last round follower that can feed all 40 rounds of its 6mm BBs into the gun.
