Tanaka Colt Python .357 Magnum R-Model Gas Revolver (6 inch) - Stainless Finish

The Colt Python, regarded as one of the best production revolvers ever made, beloved by law enforcement officers and leisure shooters alike, is a .357 Magnum revolver that has great accuracy, a smooth double-action/single-action trigger pull, and a tight cylinder lock-up. This gun was produced from 1955 to 2005 and was brought back again in 2020. Probably the most famous Colt Python is the 6-inch version that was seen in the famous TV series "The Walking Dead" as the preferred sidearm of the protagonist Rick Grimes.

Known for its attention to detail, the Tanaka Colt Python R-Model is a faithful replica of the legendary revolver, constructed out of quality polymer, with attention to detail and craftsmanship, immersing owners of this Python with a sense of realism with its weightiness and quality feel. The revolver features a unique 12-shot rotary magazine capacity cylinder which is signature for the Tanaka Pegasus system, where the shooter loads 12 rounds of 6mm BBs into its dedicated feed tube, they can spin the cylinder to load 6 shots with an additional 6 in reserve. Once the 6 shots are spent, they can rotate the cylinder one more time to load the reserve 6 BBs, allowing the shooter to fire a total of 12 shots. Tanaka replicates the single and double-action trigger system in this airsoft form, with a smooth trigger pull in both actions, a shorter trigger travel when in double-action mode, and the proverbial click when the hammer drops. This particular version is of a 6-inch barrel length variant.

The Tanaka Pegasus System is well-regarded in the Airsoft revolver community due to its realistic action and manual of arms. What makes the Pegasus system so special is that apart from the barrel assembly, the cylinder assembly, and in some cases, the hammer, all other internal parts like the trigger, sear, cylinder yoke, and cylinder hand, as well as some external parts like the grip assembly and sights are all interchangeable with real-steel parts and accessories.
