RWA Agency Arms EXA Gas Pistol (US Version)
Contoured Backstrap (SIG and XDM Profile)
The RWA Agency Arms EXA Pistol is the first GBB Pistol that RWA has ever released under the Agency Arms & Lone Wolf Distribution license.??Most notably the pistol is the same pistol used by Agency Arms Asset Paul Vandunk!??At a glance, the EXA boasts Agency Arms' EXA Hybrid slide cut, mid-line fluted outer barrel, and Lone Wolf's signature Timberwolf frame custom modified to Agency specifications. Out of the box, the pistol comes pre-installed with a fiber optic front sight and blackout rear sight, allowing for a cleaner sight picture as well as the visual consistency of a standard red dot optic.?
New to the RWA Agency Arms line up is the adjustable Syndicate trigger.???Besides sporting the Syndicate branding, it allows you to fine-tune the trigger sensitivity and takeup, with a very short and tight pull made possible. The frame of the pistol also brings something new to the user experience, the signature Shark Scale faux stippling, and a reversible magazine catch gives ambidextrous capabilities to the magazine release.?Moving the magazine release to the right of the grip for left-handed shooters is possible but requires disassembly of the pistol.??Shark Scale faux stippling provides a grip that is close to real stippling, the pre-cut frame provides each user a comfortable yet secure surface to grip and control while shooting, and the included backstraps cater to shooters who are more accustomed to 1911s (slimline backstrap that comes on the gun), or XDMs and SIG pistols (additional contoured backstrap included in the box).? Replacing the backstrap takes less than a minute by removing the magazine well and sliding the backstrap off the grip.
Overall, this pistol is designed to provide you with the best performance features and details in this price category.
The pistol is highly responsive and each trigger pull feels solid.? The trigger reset is crisp, audible, and very positive feeling, ensuring follow up shots to be incredibly accurate, making the EXA pistol a great training platform for shooting faster.? The Timberwolf frame also provides a straighter grip angle as well as a higher cut beaver tail giving you a higher purchase on the gun.? This translates into better recoil control for the shooter who wants the be able to move from target to target with the highest amount of speed and accuracy.? It's no surprise that many real steel Glock shooters upgrade to the Timberwolf frame.
The magazine well makes reloads faster and if you prefer, you can remove it by simply tapping out the retainer pin.? The full metal magazine comes with an extended bumper which in the real steel world adds 2 rounds of capacity.? On this gun, it is purely aesthetic and acts as a bumper to protect the magazine during magazine drops.? Sliding it forward reveals the gas charging valve.
The EXA pistol's footprint is similar to the Glock 17.? Its accessory rail is standard picatinny which allows you to mount a wide variety of lights and lasers.? You will also enjoy holster compatibility as the EXA will fit holsters compatible with the Glock series of pistols (excluding 19, 19X, 42, 45).? As a final touch, the inner barrel is blacked out to add realism to its fluted, midline tapered barrel which sits flush with the slide, with engravings on the ejection port that denotes the real steel caliber.?

Great product at a great price
This gun comes into a market that is very saturated with an immense number of parts, accessories, and variations for the "G Series" style of GBBP. However, it manages to be unique and very good despite these circumstances. First, the gun comes with Agency Arms parts, which is not only very desirable in the market today, but also looks very nice. On top of that, you get all of the support of the after market as this gun is made with some of the most common (or soon-to-be common) parts in the G Series market: Gen 3 Barrel and Hop Up with a Gen 5 Blowback system. The best of both worlds. Magazine compatibility is good : The EXA was able to take Marui G17 mags and WE G17 mags easily (do be aware though that because of the EXA's magwell, it might be difficult to take out mags that don't have an extended base). Gas efficiency, as expected, is great and the gun has a crisp action working in tandem with the adjustable trigger, strong spring, and slide with the large cuts. After shooting a few mags with it and breaking in all moving parts (and after a clean and re-lube) the gun is very fluid and easy. I had the intention of modifying the internals, but as of right now, I don't think the EXA needs anything else other than an aftermarket inner barrel and hop up, and maybe some external accessories. Lastly, as a U.S customer, I am extremely grateful that the EXA can be shipped very easily and safely with RedWolf's Economy shipping. Getting a licensed Agency Arms pistol ready to shoot out of the box for only $150 is a great deal and puts other competing pistols on edge. I am very happy with this and look forward to seeing many more collaboration between RWA and Agency Arms! ***Note For U.S customers, the orange tip is glued AND threaded. I did not expect it to be threaded, and accidentally removed the outer tip without the thread parts. so that was difficult to remove. I believe the thread is 11mm, but i am not sure. I am also not sure if it is positive or negative. I'm sure RedWolf could answer that through an inquiry. [REDWOLF] Due to US regulations requiring a red tip, the US version EXA has a different barrel tip than the International version of the EXA, which has a beveled barrel tip. US law requires that the orange tip be permanently attached to the front of the barrel so it is glued in place. It is meant to be sufficiently difficult to remove so that it cannot be challenged by US customs.
The gun is extremely beautiful, it fits amazing in my hands. I couldn’t be more pleased with my purchase. Also, the gas reservoirs in the magazine is incredible as well. The only complaint is that the U.S. version comes with an internally threaded barrel. I would’ve rather preferred it come with an externally threaded barrel instead. [REDWOLF] The internally threaded barrel is only to hold the orange tip that is required by US law. It is not intended to mounting a silencer. RWA may release an externally threaded outer barrel at a later stage, if you wish to mount a suppressor onto the EXA. We're glad you like the EXA!
Just played my first game with my new pistol. My elite force Gen 5 mags work perfectly with this pistol. Cycles great and is very snappy. Couldn’t ask for a better pistol at the price. It’s a great looking gun and feels super comfortable in my hands. Shark skin stippling on the lower is awesome and really helps get a good grip on the gun. I like the extended beaver tail that allows for my hands to get high up on the grip. Gas efficiency is great. Wish there was a threaded outer barrel but like I said, for the price, it’s a perfect gun. I didn’t even bother playing with my M4 all day! [RedWolf] Thank you for the awesome review. We're glad you like this pistol so much!
