KTW Winchester M1873 Carbine (New Version)

The Model 1873 was one of the most successful Winchester rifles of its day, with Winchester marketing it as "The Gun That Won the West". Still an icon in the modern day, it was manufactured between 1873 and 1923. It was originally chambered for the .44-40 cartridge, which was the first centrefire cartridge and which became immensely popular. The M1873 was later produced in .38-40 and .32-20, all of which later became popular handgun cartridges of the day, allowing users to carry just one type of ammunition. The Model 1873 was produced in three variations: a 24-inch (61 cm) barrel rifle, a 20-inch (51 cm) barrel carbine, and a "musket" which was aimed at military contracts and only made up less than 5% of production. This particular airsoft gun is based on the Carbine version.

The KTW M1873 Carbine is a faithful replica of this iconic lever action repeater gun. KTW over the years has made many iterations of the M1873 such as the Randal and the full-length variant which was reviewed by a past presenter Marck a few years back (Check out his review down below). This particular one, the M1873 Carbine Model is made in conjunction with the Korean airsoft company Dongsan Hobby. This interesting collaboration between 2 airsoft companies from Korea and Japan respectfully, allows the gun to be made in full metal which this airsoft lever gun is.

Speaking of full metal, other than this airsoft lever gun being full metal, the stock and the forearm is made of realistic faux wood that you wouldn't be able to tell that its not real wood until you actually knock on the furniture, making this airsoft lever gun's build quite realistic as well as increasing the durability and robustness of the gun. This lever gun takes a tube-style magazine which the package gives you 2 and each carrying up to 37 rounds of BBs. This is great for skirmishing because this gun fires 1 / 2 shots per lever pull allowing you to select if you want accurate fire or spread with this lever gun.
