For those who enjoy shooting from long distances, it is very rewarding and feels great to be able to pick your enemies from 60 meters or more without knowing what hit them. It is not too difficult to grasp once you have a deeper understanding of how the sniper roles work. Just don’t expect to win any CQB games using a sniper rifle!
What to Look for in a co2 Airsoft Sniper?
When deciding what to use as your first co2 airsoft sniper rifle you have to consider co2 efficiency, how realistic it is, and options for adding tactical accessories. As with all co2 airsoft guns, it’ll require maintenance and upgrading if you want the best performance possible. Upgrading it allows you to shoot further which is what you want as a sniper, so means making sure that sniper rifle has after-market parts too. It is definitely not cost-effective as co2 capsules can be very expensive if you buy many of them compared to a battery. If you looking for a realistic co2 airsoft sniper or something for gaming with you have to keep that in mind, as there is no such thing as the perfect gun.
One thing most average joe would forget on the sniper rifle is a scope. The scope is another important accessory to add for a sniper as it allows one to see enemies from a distance compared to just using iron sights.

How Accurate is a co2 Airsoft Sniper?
Snipers shoot targets that are far away. Because the BB has to travel a very long distance, the sniper has to be very careful when taking aim. There are three main things that have an effect on the accuracy of the shot. You must plan ahead for these things.
The target may be moving, such as walking or running. You must think about where the target will be when the BB reaches it. A still target may suddenly move.
Force of gravity affects the BB, so that it will drop towards the ground. If the target is close, the effect of gravity does not have a big effect on accuracy. If it’s further, then the sniper must judge how high to shoot, to make up for the distance that the BB will fall as it flies.
Wind also affects the way in which a BB will travel and can blow it away from the target. A sniper must think about the direction that the wind is blowing and the strength of the wind. You might need to shoot to the left or the right of the target, to make up for the wind.
How Does a co2 Airsoft Sniper Work?
A co2 airsoft sniper is almost the same as its green gas counterpart, except that co2 is stored in a pressurized capsule in a mag, buttstock, or pistol grip. Whenever you squeeze that trigger, the knocker in the mag will hit the valve on the gas reservoir, causing it to release pressurized gas into the co2 gun. That co2 will start to push the BB out of the chamber to cause it to fire, then any remaining co2 will cause the pistol's slide to move backward. Thus the airsoft gun can load the second round for a follow-up shot, similar to how to real steel functions. Because it uses pressurized co2 as a power source, it can be used in cold temperatures but it’ll still drop fast due to high pressure regardless of what environment it’s in. If it’s shot too fast, a cool-down effect will occur resulting in a significant fps drop.
CO2 Airsoft Sniper
CO2 AIRSOFT SNIPER
CO2 airsoft sniper rifles are powered by a removable CO2 cartridge usually based in the magazine or stock. CO2 offers higher pressure than green gas, giving greater power but also allows for stable operation in colder weather. CO2 airsoft snipers can either have a non-blowback (NBB) if they are bolt action or gas blowback style (GBB) of action for most magazine fed rifles.

How does a CO2 Airsoft sniper work?
CO2 airsoft sniper rifles are powered by a compressed carbon dioxide cartridges located in the gun’s magazine or stock. When the shooter pulls the trigger he releases a hammer that strikes the gas release on the magazine or rifle’s firing pin which releases the CO2 and directs it to a nozzle to propel the airsoft BB out the gun and move the bolt if it is a GBB. It is important to note that CO2 delivers much higher pressure than green gas, giving greater power but also allows for stable operation in colder weather. It must however be noted that due to the extreme pressure of CO2 cartridges being a potential safety risk, parental supervision is advised for younger and less experienced shooters.
How much does a good CO2 Airsoft Sniper Rifle Cost?
CO2 Airsoft sniper rifles with their more complex internal cartridge powered mechanisms generally cost more than their spring powered counterparts, the ARES Striker AST 01 CO2 Airsoft Sniper - Urban Grey (RW Custom Version) for example costs $400 but as a result it has a far smoother bolt action and fire rate that cannot be matched by typical spring powered snipers.
What are the best CO2 Airsoft Sniper Rrifles?

Airsoft Sniper CO2 vs Spring Sniper?
CO2 airsoft sniper rifles have certain pros and cons compared to spring powered airsoft snipers. Whilst spring powered snipers excel in terms of FPS consistency, this comes at certain costs especially as higher power levels will require a stiffer spring which will lower the rate of fire and induce greater fatigue in the user from pulling a powerful spring for each shot. CO2 airsoft snipers do not suffer this issue as the bolt action merely has to load the next bb with no resistance, the downside however is that CO2 airsoft sniper rifles do require a separate CO2 cartridge to operate and that having the gas run out ingame presents a significant inconvenience to the user.
