BONEYARD HFC P226 GBB Pistol (HG175)

This is a Boneyard HFC P226 GBB Airsoft pistol replica. The gun comes without any markings and is a full metal alloy construction. It comes with fixed iron sights and a green gas-powered 21-round magazine. Known issues with this gun are: the double-action function not working and a leaking gas magazine. The user will have to cock the hammer manually before shooting. As a boneyard gun, it can be repaired or used as spare parts at the user's convenience.

The P226 is designed for entry into the XM9 Service Pistol Trials, which was known then as the Joint Service Small Arms Program or JSSAP, which was held by the US Army in 1984 on behalf of the US Armed Forces to find a replacement for the aging M1911 pistol. Only the Italian 92F and 226 pistol series were satisfactory and met the requirements of the trial, though the 226 lost the contract because of the higher package price than the 92F. However, the US Navy SEALs chose to adopt the 226 and started using them as standard issue during the 1980s.
