The M4 Carbine, officially designated as the Carbine, Caliber 5.56 mm, M4, was developed in the United States during the 1980s as a compact derivative of the M16A2 assault rifle. Recognizing its tactical versatility, the United States military heavily integrated the platform, leading the Army and Marine Corps to replace the longer M16 as their primary infantry weapon starting in 2010 and 2016, respectively. Today, it serves as a cornerstone of modern infantry warfare, utilized by more than sixty countries and widely regarded as a defining firearm of the twenty-first century. As this is part of VFCs new "EVO" lineup, it is equipped with the new EVO hop-up assembly system, which is a much more practical upgrade over the previous "Guide Hop" system. It allows for quick access to the inner barrel and hop-up rubber without having to remove the outer barrel or handguard assembly, making upgrades that much easier to achieve. The EVO hop-up assembly also features a more precise TDC (top dead center) design with a tactile rearward adjustment screw. Gone is the mechanically complex guide hop system in favor of a significant accuracy and QOL boost with the TDC. The hop-up chamber itself is made of steel, making it that much more durable and robust compared to previous legacy versions, and the package includes all the necessary hex keys for instant access to the chamber assembly as well as for on-the-fly adjustments.

The rifle comes with a V3 30-round STANAG-style gas magazine, but is also fully compatible with other V3 AR/M4 gas magazines by VFC as well as older V2 gas magazine variants. So if you already own a VFC V2 or V3 GBB AR-Style Airsoft rifle, you are good to go with the magazines you currently have!
