SIG Sauer MCX Virtus SBR Airsoft AEG Rifle (by SIG AIR & VFC) - Black

The SIG MCX is a rifle first introduced by SIG USA and a subsidiary of SIG Sauer based in New Hampshire, USA during the 2015 SHOT Show. This rifle was Conceived and intended to meet the demands of the Special Operations community, as its controls are based on the venerable AR-15 platform but has the ability to switch into different calibers easily and has no buffer tube in the back, allowing for different stocking options, all in all, allowing for more customization for different mission needs, due to this the MCX VIRTUS is adopted by many specialized forces around the world, probably most notably with the counter-terror armed police units of the United Kingdom. The MCX VIRTUS which this airsoft replica is based upon is introduced in 2017 it builds upon the popularity and lessons learned from the MCX legacy that came out prior to this current version.

This SIG Sauer Proforce MCX Virtus SBR Airsoft AEG Rifle is an airsoft replica of the SIG Sauer MCX VIRTUS SBR and is modeled after its real steel counterpart, the ProForce release of the SIG SAUER MCX Virtus Airsoft AEG (Auto Electric Gun) Rifle does not disappoint. With a Full CNC machined receiver, integrated M-LOK handguard allowing for the attachments of grips, lasers, PEQ boxes, and flashlight, open full-length Picatinny rail for the addition of sights and optics, and a modular locking accessory mounting system. Speaking of Modularity, the SIG AIR Proforce MCX VIRTUS also has a Picatinny stock base allowing for different stocking options, so if you do not like the 3-position telescoping stock that comes with the gun, there is plenty of options out there such as the First Factory Picatinny Folding Rail Stock NEO. On top of that, the outer barrel of this electric airsoft rifle is 14mm CCW, allowing for the attachment of different muzzle devices such as tracers and suppressors.

But let's not forget about what's under the hood. The SIG AIR Proforce MCX VIRTUS packs a VFC Version 2.1 gearbox which features a handy dandy quick change spring system to allow for switching out lighter or heavier springs for indoor or outdoor skirmishes as well as full compatibility with most standard version 2 gearbox components like the piston assembly, rotary gears, and the ECU, the same as the one found inside its SMG smaller brother, the SIG AIR Proforce MPX AEG airsoft submachine gun. Its battery is wired to the front of the gun with a built-in MOSFET allowing for battery protection and quick response of this airsoft rifle.

The hop-up in the Proforce MCX VIRTUS is located similarly to most M4 / AR15 series electric airsoft rifles and can be accessed by pulling back the charging handle and turning the adjustment dial in where the chamber would be located at. Shooting the MCX airsoft rifle feels very responsive with 7.4v LiPo and since it has a built-in MOSFET, running a 11.1v LiPo is certainly an option if you want to make the most out of the high-torque neodymium magnet motor that comes with this SIG AIR airsoft rifle. And since this is a short barrel rifle, the airsoft MCX is easy to maneuver around tight corners. The fire controls and magazine release are ambidextrous which makes it very easy to manipulate shots and reloads both on the strong and weak hand. Lastly, since it takes its controls from the AR / M4 platform, everything about the MCX airsoft rifle feels very familiar, making it extremely easy to acclimate to this airsoft gun.

Finally, the SIG Sauer Proforce MCX VIRTUS comes with a 120-round M4 / AR-15 style mid-cap magazine, and it would take most M4 / AR15 style electric airsoft magazines on the market, with all these bells and whistles, the MCX VIRTUS airsoft rifle is a force to be reckoned with. Being modular, ambidextrous, and compatible with many existing M4 / AR15 AEG accessories, this MCX AEG is the rifle to have if you are looking for a compact rifle that is not just another M4.
