The S&W M49 was the response to demands of a small J-framed revolvers with a shrouded hammer, addressing the criticism of S&W M36 hammer becoming a snag hazard when drawing the gun. Introduced in 1955, the M49 series of revolvers featured an integral hump with a low-contoured hammer thats still able to fire in both single and double action, dubbing the lineup as a part of the Bodyguard revolver. Marushin replicates this unique J Frame revolver, showcasing exceptional detail through its intricate craftsmanship and reliable functionality.
