The M1 Rifle better known as the M1 Garand is an iconic firearm, that was in service for the United States armed services during World War 2 and the Korean War before being replaced by the M14. This rifle being semi-automatic in nature, allows American soldiers to shoot faster while maintaining a good rate of fire compared to their adversaries who were mostly running bolt action rifles. Deemed "The greatest battle implement ever devised" by none other than the famous General George S. Patton. Seen in many World War 2 depictions such as video games, movies, TV shows, and so on, the Garand rifle is well known, and let's not forget the satisfying "Ping" noise it makes when the clip runs dry and pops out after the last round was fired. Yes, the M1 Garand uses a clip, not a magazine.
We can say a lot of good things about the Garand, but it would definitely take up this whole page, and you are here for this Marushin M1 Garand gas airsoft rifle, so let's get right into it. Marushin is the only airsoft manufacturer that has been manufacturing gas blowback M1 Garands for over 15 years, with some updates and variations here and there. This particular Marushin M1 Garand replicates and takes the form of the standard M1 Garand rifle that you would expect most USGIs would carry during different campaigns in World War 2, Korea, and even in the early days of the Vietnam War. Although being a Japanese-made gas airsoft rifle, this M1 gas airsoft rifle is made of metal and has real walnut wood furniture, making it easily the most realistic M1 Garand you can get without actually getting the real one.
The operation of the Marushin M1 Garand is also quite similar to its real steel counterpart. First, pull the bolt back and lock it in place by pushing the silver tab inside the rifle, next insert gas in the bottom (we do not recommend using green gas, weaker gas like HFC134a or duster gas is much more preferable for the overall longevity on the system). After which, push in the en bloc clip with rounds in it, Powerstroke the bolt and you get 8 shots before the bolt locks back and the en bloc clip ejects out of the gun with a "Ping", just like the real thing! Although the "ping" is not as pronounced as the real steel, it is still such a joy to shoot it and experience how the real M1 rifle would behave. For more information on how a Marushin M1 Garand works, here is an old video of the 8mm version of the Marushin M1 Garand, but it works the same as the version we have over here:
