The M60 is a classic American general-purpose machine gun that has seen action across the globe since the United States military first adopted it in 1960. It fires 7.62x51 mm NATO rounds fed through a disintegrating belt, and operators can load it with anything from standard ball to tracer and armor-piercing ammunition. Every branch of the United States armed forces relied on this weapon for decades. While you can still find upgraded versions in production and in active service with various nations around the world today, the United States has largely moved on, replacing or supplementing the aging M60 with newer platforms like the M240.
The M60E4, frequently designated as the Mk 43, is a heavily modernized evolution of the classic M60 general-purpose machine gun. Chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge, this updated platform features massive internal improvements that make it far more reliable than older generations, alongside external upgrades like a redesigned forward grip, buttstock, bipod, and iron sights. Manufactured exclusively by U.S. Ordnance since the year 2000, it remains a primary weapon for several NATO members and allied nations. The United States Navy originally adopted the Mod 0 configuration for SEAL teams to replace older assault models, while the newer Mod 1 configuration adds extensive rail space for modern tactical accessories. While early units showed slight visual differences, such as unique flash hiders, modern production models of the Mk 43 and M60E4 are considered the exact same weapon system. This platform even competed against the M240 during infantry trials in the 1990s; although the M240 ultimately won the contract by proving more reliable, military testers noted that the M60E4 was considerably lighter.
The M60E4-6061 AEG by LCT is a highly rugged and highly capable airsoft heavy weapon designed to dominate the field. Built around a durable stamped steel receiver, this machine gun measures 940mm in overall length and weighs in at a substantial 8.6 kg. Sustained suppressive fire is handled by a massive 3000-round box magazine, powered internally by a fast 26700rpm motor and a reinforced gearbox. The internal layout features an 8mm bearing system, a chrome-plated brass cylinder, and CNC aluminum components for the hop-up chamber, cylinder head, and piston head. The polycarbonate piston includes full steel teeth for maximum durability, while a steel ball bearing spring guide ensures smooth operation under heavy load. Flexibility is a major focus, featuring a quick-release spring system that allows players to easily adjust muzzle velocity to meet local regulations. While this model omits electric blowback and a MOSFET system for mechanical simplicity, it delivers reliable performance right out of the box. Accuracy is maintained by a 455mm copper brass inner barrel, and the muzzle includes standard 14mm CCW threading for aftermarket devices. Power is routed through 18AWG wiring directly to the buttstock, which provides ample storage space for a lithium-polymer battery. Players can equip a 7.4V battery for standard velocity setups under 362 FPS, or step up to an 11.1V battery for higher velocity configurations.
