Weapons Armament Research or WAR for short specializes in aftermarket parts for pistols, most notably for the Smith & Wesson M&P series of pistols. After the success of their "Afterburner" design for the M&P, they dove headfirst into the Glock market by bringing their manufacturing know-how and experience in crafting performance parts to enhance the shooting experience. With innovative ways of weight reduction and ports cut directly into the slide and barrel, they are able to give the shooter a compensated shooting experience without the need to directly mount a compensator to the barrel of the pistol.

The airsoft version of this slide is fully licenced and manufactured by JDG which produced the M&P Afterburner slide to much success. This latest version of the Afterburner is true to life and is a faithful replica. Each lightening cut and window mirrors that of the real steel slide and the slide also features an RMR cut, making it optics ready.
