M79

AIRSOFT M79

The M79 grenade launcher is a single-shot, shoulder-fired, break-action grenade launcher that fires a 40×46mm grenade and first introduced in 1961 becoming best known for its involvement during the Vietnam War. The result of Project Niblick, the M79 was made with the intention of increasing the firepower of the infantryman by enabling an explosive projectile to be fired more accurately with further range than rifle grenades, but also be more portable than a mortar. The result was a 40x46 mm grenade that could be adapted to a variety of rounds including explosive, anti-personnel, smoke, buckshot, flechette and a launcher that whilst slow to reload, was accurate enough to be popular with the troops that used it. The M79 airsoft is only made by one brand being King Arms, however it does sell two variants of the airsoft M79, those being the King Arms Airsoft M79 Grenade Launcher and the King Arms Airsoft M79 Sawed Off Grenade Launcher. These airsoft M79s may not be varied in selection but the quality of these M79 airsoft grenade launchers are nothing short of excellent.
