Initially producing the Inokatsu, with the WA system during its early stages of conception, Viper Tech branched off from Inokatsu and began offering complete GBB rifles for the Airsoft community. They became known for developing the most realistic AR rifles available, characterized by superior quality, design, and tailored performance for passionate Airsoft enthusiasts. With the benefits of consultations from fellow Airsoft aficionados, Viper Tech adopted a manufacturing process for the AR GBB platform that mirrors that of real firearms, adhering to the same industrial standards. Utilising first-rate 6061-T6 aluminum and phosphate-treated steel, each rifle is custom-built to meet the specific requests of users, including considerations for preferred BB weights and FPS performance to ensure consistent rifle operation. Each Viper Tech rifle is manufactured using the same processes as real-steel firearms, which include;
Bar of 6061 Aluminum > Flattening > High Pressure Forging > T6 Heat Treatment > Vibration Grinding > CNC Machining Process > Sand Blasting > Anodization.
This time, Viper Tech faithfully replicates the MK12 SPR (Special Purpose Rifle) platform, meticulously reproducing the rifle down to its manufacturing processes. All their AR15, M4, SR , and 416 GBB rifles feature forged 6061-T6 CNC aluminum receivers. This process involves superheating a block of 6061 aluminum and hammering it into the shape of a blank upper and lower receiver, compressing the aluminum molecules to create an exceptionally robust receiver set. Additionally, the assembly of the rifle incorporates phosphate-treated CNC steel components, including the buffer tube, fire control components, bolt carrier, outer barrel, and gas block. This rifle features deep Colt trademarks and roll markings engraved into the forged receiver, further adding to the rifle's overall authenticity. It is also equipped with a KAC SR-15 free-float quad rail handguard assembly, allowing the user to fully customize the rifle's setup. Users can also switch out the pistol grip and fixed stock for real-steel mil-spec components to further personalize the rifle.
At its core, Viper Tech aims to create the best-performing rifle by utilizing the esteemed Western Arms WOC fire control system, which features a crisp two-stage trigger that offers minimal trigger travel and a very clean break. Featuring Semi / Full-Auto fire modes, the fire selector switches to position with a very tactile click. The internals of the Viper Tech rifles are also constructed from phosphate-treated steel, ensuring durability and the ability to withstand harsh environments. With their premier branding, the rifle requires a break-in period to achieve a buttery smooth performance. Each interaction, such as the bolt rack, trigger pull, and fire selection, will gradually become free of grit, with precise, tight fitments ensuring that all components operate flawlessly. A notable selling point of Viper Tech is its aluminum bolt nozzle, which provides a consistent air seal and BB loading, along with a remarkable felt recoil experience thanks to the nozzle and steel bolt. Each interaction between the steel and aluminum components produces a satisfying sound.
Viper Tech customizes their rifles according to user preferences; in this case, the rifle is optimised to perform best with high-quality 0.2g 6mm BBs, maintaining consistent FPS performance at 393 FPS. It features a brass 6.04 450mm inner barrel for accurate, precise shots and an adequate range for skirmishes. Additionally, the 18mm nozzle design offers a sharper recoil impulse for a more intense felt recoil experience, albeit at the expense of compatibility with CO2 magazines. The hop-up can be adjusted by removing the handguard and turning the wheel located beneath the barrel nut. The Viper Tech rifle requires a break-in period of approximately 10,000 rounds of BBs to wear in and achieve optimal performance, allowing users to experience the most realistic GBB rifle platform on the market.
