Easy to damage if dropped
If you drop the magazine, this part will break easily.I also damaged my own magazine.I bought a lot of spares and exhibited them at a Japanese flea market, and they sold really well.There were a lot of people who were in trouble with the same damage Everyone was happy because I offered only the parts cost and shipping fee.

Exact replacement
Hopefully stronger than the "SIG" part that comes on a new magazine . As noted in Umenyan's reviews this is a weak, brittle part -- at least the part on the OEM magazine. I don't intend to drop the magazine again if I can help it but bought spares for that eventuality.
Dirt simple replacement as this is a non-pressurized part. Drive out a pair of pins, retain the magazine follower, swap the broken for new feed lips, re-insert the pins. Takes less time than it does to read this review.
SIG does not sell any spare parts for their airsoft guns. When the feed lips broke their solution was to sell me a complete magazine -- about US$40 plus US$10 for shipping. Shipping from Hong Kong to Virginia was US$7.50.

I've just received this to replace a broken lip that fractured the second time in use. Take your time, use the right-sized punch (driven from left to right-take a close look at your now-exposed pin: drive the splined end out first), and then carefully tap the pins back in place in reverse order. It really did take only five minutes, and I've run 100 BBs through it: flawless function, and PERFECT! Note that this does appear to be an original part, and is made of plastic. Shipping was fast, and absolutely no problems with the transaction. Thanks very much, RedWolf!

I purchased some of these after breaking the lip accidentally by letting the follower and spring fly up, shearing the feed lip in half. The magazine I was using was the green gas mag. It does indeed look as if the lip is the same on both the gas and CO2 magazines, although I've not broken one of the CO2 mag lips. Installation was easy and quick: drive out the pins with an appropriately-sized punch (doesn't take much force at all), and drive the splined end of the pins out first (left to right, I believe, with the front of the mag facing away from you). Assemble in reverse order. I put 100 rounds through the now-fixed magazine, and it works like new! These do appear to be factory replacement parts.
