Designed by Mikhail Kalashnikov and first produced in 1997 by Izhmash, now Kalashnikov Concern, the Saiga shotguns are a series of Russian made magazine fed select fire shotguns available in a variety of models and gauges such as the Saiga 12, Saiga 20 and Saiga 410. Utilizing the same long stroke gas piston system used by the AK series of rifles, the Saiga series have become one of the most popular shotguns of their type in the world, known for their simplicity and ease of use.
