The KSC Sword Cutlass is a high quality replica of the pistols seen used by Revy in the anime "Black Lagoon". Made of high quality plastics and metal, this gun is hefty but compact. The gun although modeled after the M9/92 platform, is much larger due to the elongated slide and outer barrel. If you are a fan of the animated series, look no further!

The Best Replica of Revy's Sword Cutlasses

I bought a pair of these a couple of years ago. I also own a pair of the WE models sold elsewhere. These are head-and-shoulders above WE's model in just about every way imaginable. In addition to better overall construction, you can tell the designers and manufacturers alike put a lot more care in making these replicas as accurate as possible. A prime example of this is the "engravings" on either side of the slide, which appear molded on and painted; there's actual texture to them, in other words. The WE models appear to have a decal instead, and while the overall effect still looks good, the quality just feels cheap after you've experienced KSC's model. Another example of the designer's minute attention to detail is the gun's muzzle. As they're drawn in the manga, Revy's have a distinctive "cross-like" pattern when looking down the barrel straight on, which is perfectly replicated in KSC's model. The WE's muzzle, though, is perfectly cylindrical, as you'd expect of any old pistol. It's these little touches that make KSC's model feel that much more "authentic." The guns are solid, too, with a good amount of heft to them. As good as they look, they're actually usable. One of my big qualms with WE's model is the mag release button, which engages if you even just graze it. I have two WE models, too, and this happens with both, so I don't believe this represents a defect exclusive to mine. KSC's mag release button, though, is far more functional. The button is still easy enough to engage, but I've never done so by accident. As far as accuracy and such, I can't speak much for that. I don't really use these in combat situations, as I bought them more as a collector of Black Lagoon paraphernalia. So while I can't say one way or the other if they'd be good for an airsoft competition, as someone who also owns several real firearms (including a Beretta 92FS), I can confirm that they feel great in my hands, break down accurately and simply in comparison to the real thing, and are very easy to sight up and pull the trigger. In conclusion, if you're a fan of Black Lagoon and an airsoft enthusiast looking to pay homage to Revy "Two Hand" herself on the field of battle, KSC's rendition of the Sword Cutlass is the replica to get. Alongside my Fullcock water pistols, these are easily the best looking replicas of Revy's custom weapons out there. And unlike the water pistols, these actually have all the moving parts. If you can find 'em, buy 'em! Highly recommended!
