CAP AND BALL REVOLVER

AIRSOFT CAP AND BALL REVOLVERS

Cap and Ball Revolvers were amongst the first revolvers ever produced with the first modern practical revolver patented by Samuel Colt in the form of the Colt Paterson in 1836. Unlike modern revolvers, Cap and Ball revolvers require the user to pour black powder into each chamber, ram down a bullet on top and then place a percussion cap on the nipple at the rear of each chamber in order to fire six consecutive shots. Whilst this reloading method was lengthy, the ability to fire up to six rounds between reloads was a quantum leap in firepower compared to single shot muzzle loading pistols of the day. Cap and Ball Revolvers like the Tokyo Marui M1851 Navy Spring Revolver are exceptionally rare in airsoft but we do have a selection of model gun revolvers like the Hartford Colt Texas Paterson Blue Black Case Hardened HW 7.5inch Tokyo Shop Custom Model Gun and CAW Colt M1860 ARMY Model Gun - 8 inch.
