Umarex HK USP Cal.6mm BB CO2 GBB Version (by KWC)
About the USP:
The USP (Universelle Selbstladepistole or "universal self-loading pistol") is a semi-automatic pistol developed in Germany by Heckler & Koch GmbH (H&K) of Oberndorf am Neckar as a replacement for the P7 series of handguns. The USP is also a cultural icon having been featured in movies and TV shows such as HEAT and 24. This Co2 GBBR version of the gun is a reproduction of said pistol.
Ever since its establishment in 1972, Umarex has been pushing towards new horizons. Its founders, Wulf-Heinz Pflaumer and Franz Wonisch, had a strong entrepreneurial spirit and set themselves ambitious goals. Together with more than 850 dedicated employees and partners in Germany and abroad, they achieved their objectives.
Nice, but poor lifetime
I love the USP, but Umarex (or KWC) just couldn't make a decent gun for its' high price. In my pistol, the hopup rubber was skewed, therefore the gun was shooting everywhere, but where it was pointing - accurate shots happened only if you turned the hopup completely down with a drawback of having maximum 20-25 meters of range. "Naturally", spare hopup rubber for this gun is non existent and it is unique, so you can't just put in something from other manufacturers. But to put the cherry on the cake, the frame of the pistol broke after about 25-30 magazines of shooting. Also, a little piece of the slide broke off at the back and the slide catch worn out so much that it doesn't work even if you pull the slide by hand and try to make it stay at the back position. Really disappointing. I would rate it one star, but I give two, only because the looks are really good, the polymer frame and grip is nice and comfortable to use and you also get real markings if you buy this piece of junk...
I am surprised how hard this pistol kicks. It's very accurate and the gun just feels good in the hand. Have put about 20 magazines through it so far and I just love it. Great performance for the price. I've always been a fan of the USP and was deciding between this one and the compact one made by KWA. Decided on this one because it uses CO2 whlie the other one used green gas.
