This 226 is the latest product from GK Tactical which are well known for their affordable gear which have good quality. The 226 exceeds many expectations as it shoots as good as it looks. It is cerakoted which makes it more durable and gives it that more tacticool style. It comes in either Magpul FDE or tungsten Grey cerakote.
The P226 is a full-sized, service-type pistol made by SIG Sauer. It is chambered for the 9x19mm Parabellum, .40 S&W, .357 SIG, and .22 Long Rifle. It is essentially the same basic design of the SIG P220, but developed to use higher capacity, staggered-column magazines in place of the single-column magazines of the P220. The P226 itself has spawned further sub-variants; the P228 and P229 are both compact versions of the staggered-column P226 design. The SIG Sauer P226 and its variants are in service with numerous law enforcement and military organizations worldwide.
Salient Arms is a real steel firearms company that focuses on accurizing Glocks, M&P, XD and Benelli M2 and M1s and now GK Tactical have produced the 226 version for airsoft. This pistol is a thing of beauty but that's not the end of it as it actually has a bit of heft to it as well which is rather beneficial when it comes to the recoil.
The reason as to why it's so heavy is due to its steel slide. Everything else is made out of aluminum. Since the slide is the heaviest section, it will need CO2 to help rack the slide and since most of the gas is spent on the slide, you won't have a high FPS pistol in your hands as it only clocks in at around 330 fps. Perfectly reasonable for indoor skirmishes.
Each and every single trigger pull will respond with a very healthy and powerful kick on par with an Inokatsu 1911. The GK Tactical 226 uses proprietary internal parts apart from the hop up rubber and inner barrel, meaning that you can't change most of its parts but there is a way to make it more accurate than it is now. The outer barrel has a mock fluted design which doesn't really do anything to help its performance but it does look very pretty.
Overall, the built quality is exquisite. Everything is very smooth and functions well with very strong springs making it feel like a real pistol. the trigger is skeletonized with a SAI style incision on the bottom of the trigger guard, allowing your off hand to sit a little higher, in turn, making it more stable for the user. It perfectly resembles the 226 since it's a double action pistol with a functioning decocker. That, in combination with the Salient slide, makes the GK Tactical 226 one hell of a airsoft replica pistol. Be sure to stock up on CO2 Magazines, can never have too much magazines!

Since the slide is the heaviest component, it will need at least green gas or CO2 to cycle the slide. The pistol shoots approximately 330fps (using CO2) which is perfect for indoor skirmishes. The pistol comes with a CO2 magazine but can also operate on WE P226 green gas magazines (Sold separately). Of course, performance is much snappier with CO2.
