This 226 is the latest product from GK Tactical which are well known for their quality products. The 226 exceeds many expectations as it shoots as good as it looks. It is Cerakoted which makes it more durable and gives it that more tacticool look. It comes in either Magpul FDE or tungsten Grey Cerakote.
The pistol is very hefty and solid thanks to full CNC construction and the steel slide. The lower frame is made from CNC cut aluminum just like the real 226. Since the slide is the heaviest component, it will need at least green gas or CO2 to cycle the slide. The pistol shoots approximately 330fps (using CO2) which is perfect for indoor skirmishes. The pistol comes with a CO2 magazine but can also operate on WE P226 green gas magazines (Sold separately). Of course, performance is much snappier with CO2.
Each and every single trigger pull will respond with a very heavy and powerful kick on par with an Inokatsu 1911. The GK Tactical 226 uses a similar design to the Marui P226, although GK Tactical enhanced some internal parts to make it handle CO2 better..
Overall, the built quality is exquisite and makes this feel very real. Everything is very smooth and functions well with very strong springs making it feel like a real pistol. the trigger is skeletonized for lighter weight and snappier recoil. An cut on on the bottom of the trigger guard, allowing your off hand to sit a little higher, in turn, making it more stable for the shooter. It perfectly resembles the 226 since it's a double action pistol with a functioning decocker works on this pistol. That, in combination with the skeletonized slide, makes the GK Tactical 226 one hell of an airsoft replica pistol. Be sure to stock up on CO2 Magazines, can never have too many magazines!
The recoil spring is tuned to the slightly weaker side so that you can also use green gas magazines, but if you plan to stick with CO2, consider upgrading to a Nine Ball recoil spring for the Hi Capa (which fits this pistol perfectly) for snappier response.
