Fully Licensed B&T APC556 Airsoft Rifle Replica (AEG)
Designed in the 2000s, the APC series was created as a modern submachine gun to offer a more cost-effective production alternative to intermediate cartridge assault carbines gaining popularity in military operations. Drawing on extensive experience manufacturing the MP9 and years of customer feedback regarding potential enhancements, B&T developed this refined platform, with the initial APC models entering production in 2011. The platform reached a major milestone on March 29, 2019, when B&T earned a $2.6 million U.S. Army Sub Compact Weapon contract for its APC9K submachine gun, an award covering an initial order of 350 units alongside slings, manuals, accessories, and spare parts, with options expanding up to 1,000 units.
The APC series is offered in several variants, with this Airsoft replica by ASG being the 5.56x45mm rifle variant. The officially licensed B&T APC556 replica brings an iconic model seen in numerous movies and video games to life with fully engraved markings matching the real thing. Built with a precision CNC-machined aluminum upper receiver and handguard, it features fully ambidextrous controls, including the bolt catch and release, as well as a multi-position steel telescoping stock. Optics, lights, lasers, and other accessories can be easily mounted via the full-length top and bottom 1913 Picatinny/20mm RIS, with additional M-LOK slots revealed underneath the side rails. Inside, it runs on a V2 8mm Falcon Gearbox equipped with an ETU/FCU and a quick-change spring guide, designed for use with a 7.4V small stick-type LiPo battery that fits into an easily accessible door when the stock is deployed. It also comes with a generous 180-round mid-capacity AR/M4-style magazine, making the gun compatible with standard AR/M4 AEG magazines.
Overall, the APC556 by ASG is a great AEG for its robust external and internal build, and the ETU pushes the platform's capability even further with its high-tech trigger board offering intuitive and responsive controls and solid performance. A great choice for both beginner and experienced Airsofters.
