The ARES SL-8 was pattered after a similar gun in the real steel world which was originally designed to be a civilian version of the famed German rifle the G36
The SL-8 sports a very "retro-futuristic" design as the real steel gun was designed and manufactured back in the late 90's and its styling does exude a feeling of being from that era. The airsoft version replicas it exceptionally well, especially the grey one we have here.
The airsoft version here from ARES is a well equipped AEG. It's high quality polymer body is very comfortable to the touch and feels rugged. The internals of the gun are what any player would come to expect from ARES and it features their tried and tested ECU for snappy trigger response.
