NICKEL CADIUM (NICD)
Airsoft nickel cadmium (NiCd) batteries are an older type of rechargeable battery once commonly used in airsoft guns. Known for their durability and ability to deliver high current, NiCd batteries can withstand frequent charging and discharging cycles. However, they suffer from memory effect, which can reduce their capacity if not fully discharged before recharging, and they are heavier and bulkier compared to newer battery types like NiMH or LiPo. Due to these drawbacks and environmental concerns over cadmium toxicity, NiCd batteries have largely been replaced by more advanced alternatives in modern airsoft equipment.
