FN FNC

The FN FNC or Fabrique Nationale Carabine is a 5.56×45mm NATO assault rifle developed by the Belgian arms manufacturer FN Herstal and introduced in 1979. Developed as a less expensive alternative to the M16 rifle for NATO standardization trials, the FNC’s long stroke gas piston shares similar function to the AK it was designed to oppose in the Cold War. Whilst unsuccessful in NATO wide adoption, the FNC nonetheless became the standard service weapon of the Belgian and Swedish armed forces as well as over 15 other nations where it continues to serve today. The airsoft FN FNC like the larger FN FAL is a very niche airsoft model with only one FN FNC airsoft gun available in the form of the Cybergun Airsoft FNC GBBR (by VFC, FN Herstal Licensed), hopefully we can have more airsoft FN FNC models to choose from in the future.
