The storm grip, as found on the M107 Barret, differs from a standard AR grip as it tapers wider towards the bottom with the rear edge following a slightly shallower decent angle then normal.

The result is a shift in the grip ergonomics, the gripping hand now following a slightly flatter line which is more comfortable for handling long rifles in a prone position where the angle of shoulder/arm is a much straiter line then the almost 90 degrees when standing up. This grips also has a hefty swing-out motor plate making motor securing that much more solid.
At the very least it looks cool and its a pretty significant piece if you want to modify your version 2 gearbox powered Barret to look more like the real deal with its more genuine styled pistol grip.
