The Inokatsu Colt 1911 Military 100th Anniversary (CO2 version) is the most realistic steel made replica of this iconic pistol. Fully licensed by COLT and made with their input, this historic piece is fabricated using the same wax mold technique as the original.
RedWolf only accepts the highest quality standards and has hand selected the finest examples in the production line from Inokatsu. Wax mold manufacturing means that certain samples have air bubbles and other minor flaws, and RedWolf ensures to only sell those that pass our quality control standards for flawless finishing and proper performance.
Licensed by Colt with official design input from the reknowned real steel firearms manufacturer, there are few other guns on the market that have benefited from such major input from a real gun manufacturer. Chief Designer Domanic Lu, Founder and CEO of Inokatsu, is known for his passion in making guns that feel like the real thing. Putting extensive focus on the shooting experience, Inokatsu's past works have featured the collectible M60 series and the super realistic M4, the latter which still stands as the undisputed king of the gas blowback rifle category in terms of recoil and realism.

Not satisfied with just an M4, Inokatsu teamed up with Colt to create the new 1911, which is intended to celebrate the 100th year anniversary of the legendary 1911 pistol. The LUX limited edition made it's debut in 2011, with this regular version now making it's release in 2012.
Given the quality and real gun manufacturing processes involved in making this gun, this is the most realistic 1911 ever. But then again, you never expect Inokatsu guns to be economical given their collectible appeal and low volume manufacturing techniques.
The Inokatsu 1911 can use both CO2 and regular green gas magazines from KJ Works (100% compatible), although the performance with the KJ CO2 magazine is better than the green gas version. However, do know that the KJ CO2 magazine comes with bumper - which if you feel is unsightly, can be replaced with the regular green gas magazine which has a flush base plate for a more realistic look. But the green gas one will only work the gun with crisp blowback in warm weather.
The recoil spring is noticeably stiffer than normal airsoft pistols, which gives this gun a much more realistic feel. The sound that steel-on-steel emits is also different than your regular aluminum or die-cast metal guns. The shine, texture and the way the light plays off the surface is also quite different - which tricks most observers into thinking this is the real thing! Real wood checkered grips provide that authentic feeling.
Not designed to be a high powered skirmish gun at 300fps, Inokatsu's engineers channeled most of the gas back to blowback the heavy steel slide and overcome the resistance of the stiffer recoil spring. As with most Inokatsu's, the shooting and user experience is what matters most. That's why most collectors who live in countries where real guns are illegal feel that this gun is the closest they can get to owning the real thing.
This gun comes with 1 low profile magazine base plate style CO2 magazine inside the box. You may purchase additional KJ CO2 1911 magazines or regular green gas magazines in the RELATED PRODUCTS section below.

Please note that this version is not the LIMITED EDITION LUXE model, which comes in wooden box and with serial number 001 - 100. This regular version comes in a cardboard box with serial number beyond the number 100. The LUXE version also has a more hand-polished bronze finishing.
However, all the Inokatsu 1911s are handmade by experienced gun smiths, not a CNC machine, so please do not expect to have precise clean cut finishing on the surface.
