The MP 18 manufactured by Theodor Bergmann, holds the position as being the first submachine gun used in combat. First introduced in 1918 by the German Army during World War I as the primary weapon of the Sturmtruppen, the MP 18 submachine gun is a simple blowback operated weapon firing from the open bolt and is chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum and was the basis for many submachine guns made in the 1920s and 30s. The airsoft MP18 is a very rare model owing to the lack of popular knowledge of the real MP18 and thus the existence of an airsoft MP18 at all could be regarded as somewhat of a novelty in the form of the Snow Wolf Metal Bergmann Airsoft MP18 SMG AEG - Real Wood. Hopefully sometime in the future we’ll see more models of the airsoft MP18.
