While this gun may not be for everyone, its appeal is obvious. The handsome little all-metal gun is only 17cm (just shy of 7 inches) and weighs a reasonable but not unwieldy 770g. It follows the 1911 school of aesthetic design, a subcompact variant but as a fixed slide weapon it is functionally very little like one.
The internal non-detachable magazine feeds 15 BBs and the handle contains the 12g CO2 capsule it runs on. The double-action trigger simply lets you squeeze one shot after the other; testing using 0.2g BBs in 20 to 32 Celsius weather, it chronoed with a window of 430 to 450 FPS making it one of the most powerful weapons Redwolf has (let alone just pistols). It could go through 2 sides of a soda can *easy*...from five feet away. At point blank range, it punches through the bottom of the can like most pistols do cardboard. Put that another way, it can knock out 0.4g BBs above 300 FPS.
Thats rather spicy for most users but some outdoor players play in colder countries or higher powered sites where such a hand cannon could prove useful. It does have a manual safety slide button on the frame, a critical feature for a weapon this powerful. The hop-up is fixed and with the way it was behaving in tests it can handle 0.2g but 0.23 or 0.25 would probably be a better choice (doing 420 to 400 respectively). Sheer brute force means the BBs will be reaching out a to a decent range even without a finely tuned hop-up option.
All that performance in a tough little pistol small enough for easy carry for this price makes this weapon one heck of a bang for the buck.
Caution: As we have said, this is a powerful Airsoft pistol. While this power is not that uncommon around rifles, it is on the high powered end of the scale for Airsoft and most certainly atypically strong for a pistol. When using a weapon this powerful at shorter range, enforcing the use of proper safety protective equipment is essential. Poor quality eye protection may not be strong enough, rigid face protection will be needed as soft protection might not be enough.
