The HK416 A5 is a further development of the HK416 assault rifle in 5.56 x 45 mm NATO calibre. The most striking changes compared to its previous versions as well as to market available AR platforms include an improved and tool-less gas regulator for suppressor use, a redesigned, user-friendly lower receiver, which allows complete ambidextrous operation of the weapon and ensures optimised magazine compatibility, as well as numerous technical improvements to maximize the operator safety, reliability, ammunition compatibility and durability under real operating conditions

The airsoft version has been highly anticipated and when this gun arrived on the scene it did not disappoint. The GBBR features great recoil impulse and it's very accurate, making it a great choice for players that want a short-barreled rifle that can reach out and hit someone further downfield. Gas efficiency also scores top marks allowing you to play more without worrying about constantly refilling your magazines. Finally, the overall feeling of the gun is solid and gives an incredible recoil impulse with each trigger pull.

    Love the recoil

When i watched the review it looked as if the cycling was a little sluggish so i was a little worried when i ordered it. But i was pleasantly surprised when it arrived that it just kept going and no matter how fast i tried to pull the trigger, it kept up with me, even though i am not the fastest shooter.

Good... but could have been great.

Looks fantastic and very close to the RS version with a nice weight to it. Trigger is nice and smooth with a solid break. Accuracy is acceptable with .28's but it'll takes time to break in the hop-up (love the ease of adjustment too). Pretty much all of the moving parts are steel minus the bolt and nozzle. NPAS is a plus. Recoil is fantastic but the buffer spring noise was pretty loud and annoying. Nothing a little lithium grease couldn't fix. The charging handle is a bit wobbly but acceptable. I would have prefered a steel bolt over the zinc as it wears pretty quick but I'll upgrade that soon or just buy 3 spare sets for the price of one steel one. The all too common lock-back issues are still there but with a bit of investigation it turns out my problem was with the mag. It ships with, what appears to be, a gen 1 mag. The 2 levers that actuate the bolt-catch sit on pins molded into the main gas housing and the pins are too small allowing the levers to wobble and shift which in turn caused them to slip by one another not lifting the aft lever to lock the bolt. With a little fiddling I got it to work but for this price it should have worked out of the box. Also, no cleaning rod or NPAS tool but that is a minor strike. I recommend buying a few gen 2's or pmags and some spare parts for the wear items (bolt, bolt release, springs & pins). Overall it's a pretty nice replica for the money but VFC need to work on their mags and bolt-lock issues. Cheers!
