Take a hold of this Marushin M2 Carbine and you are struck by two things: one, you realise that it how nice the quality is, and secondly, that it is relatively light and compact (around 910mm). The furniture is is made from real wood, and it feels great to the touch, compared to some of that naff mock-wood stuff that you might see elsewhere. The barrel, mag, trigger/trigger guard and bolt/receiver are made from metal too, but despite this, it weighs a reasonable 2150g, making it a perfectly usable gun for skirmishes.
What makes this gun special is that it features gas-blowback full-auto fire. Fill the mag with gas - and it does seem to hold a lot of gas - then pull the bolt back, and you're ready to fire. Put it on full-auto, then pull the trigger and you're presented with a pleasing "BLAT, BLAT, BLAT" sound as it fires off the 8mm in full-auto and the bolt moves back and forth like a real one. The blowback is not overly strong, but is enough to give you a bit of feeling. Enough to make you smile anyway. It shoots approximately 250fps, using 8mm BBs and HFC134a.
Package includes: Gun, Magazine, Manual. The magazine has two valves for filling the gas, which is apparently so that one gas is used as a kind of support tank to ensure that there is no loss in performance when firing in full-auto, by keeping an adequate flow of gas.
