More then just another replica, this series of polymer framed pistols has become a corner stone of Airsoft gas blow back pistols since there introduction so many years ago. Though many brands now carry such designs, Tokyo Marui and KSC continue to be the forerunners in terms of quality, performance and reliability.
Available in an array of different models, the Model 26C is not just compact but the subcompact version of the Model 18C automatic variant. As such, it is functionally almost the same as its full size model 18C brother albeit in a smaller package.
A select-fire fully automatic gas blowback pistol, it has a polymer frame and metal slide for realism and durability. Barely over 16cm / 6 inches long, it maintains a weight of about 600g / 30oz which makes it very compact and lightweight yet still has good heft thanks to those metal parts.
The magazine is a small type to fit in the short frame, the second smallest type in this KSC series. It has a capacity of 20 rounds which still keeps a practical edge. Furthermore, though the shorter barrel develops slightly lower 235-250 FPS (with 0.2g BBs, running on HFC134a / Duster gas) and accuracy, the short slide makes the cycle action very short which makes it very fast, very sharp and very quick leading to a great cyclical rate. This is made most obvious when firing in full auto as the 26C drills out BBs even faster then that already high rate of fire 18C.
If you are looking for a subcompact size pistol as a backup or just want something distinctively different then the Model 26 has got to be one of the smallest combat effective sidearms in Airsoft. All the performance of a full size pistol shrunk down to a smaller size.
Do note that the power and cyclical rate can be increased by using Top / Green / Propane gas (to around 240-275 FPS) but this will increase the wear and tear on your weapon resulting in greater maintenance considerations over time.
