Limcat slide, 2011 upper frame and blazing red frame; this flashy piece is not one for subtlety. The slide design is one of the newer varieties added to the Airsoft Surgeon repertoire towards then end of 2010; a CNC Aluminium job with a striking design almost cathedral like ribs with teeth like strips.
Out of the box, Marui pistols are perfectly good; the famed Marui hop-up makes them incredibly long ranged pistols despite their low power. The moment you open one up, that magic seems to evaporate so in order to upgrade a Marui pistol you must understand the gravity of what it is to not only preserve that magic but to out do it.
On gas blow back pistols, the smoother the slide cycles, the more stable the weapon will hold its position in your hands as it shoots. Marui slides are pretty damn good as is, custom ones can go on great. If you take the time to file and tweak the frame and slide so that they mount with exacting precision however, you get a level of performance only possible with such personalized work. This touch of engineering is applied one-on-one to a specific pistol; a specific frame, a specific slide.
The total upper is of the 4.3 length variety, combining a shorter slide with a compact compensator built on to the outer barrel; the inner barrel makes full use of the length running right up to the front stopping only millimeters short of the muzzle. This piece does not have buffers and as such the slide is free to travel the complete distant and will lock back when empty (with a functioning slide catch).
A precession shooter is one thing, an accurate shooter is another. The gun may put the pellets down a strait line but you still have to put that line in the right place. As an open class type IPSC pistol it can not make use of more advanced electronic sighting options but at short ranges a skilled shooter only needs iron sights anyway.
The red colored front fiber optic iron sight is very high visibility, good for putting on target quickly. It is also attached to the compensator and not the moving slide so it will hold its position throughout the cycle making it easier on your eyes.
This pistol comes with one magazine and an Airsoft Surgeon Range Bag (AS-RB).
