Description

SOCOM Gears vest offers us a new contender in the Airsoft market for combat apparel.

Check out this video for a rundown of the features of this vest:
This high strength NYLON weave chest rig adds a full MOLLE strapped vest to your torso; plain MOLLE on all sides makes for a nice solid platform for kitbashing your own loadout configuration besides also coming with a rifle butt shoulder pad which can be shifted to either shoulder strap at your discretion.

This robust vest offers a middleweight stance, it possess a much higher quality then China made vests and yet lacks the higher cost of Pantac options; with a price that hovers half way between the two extreme of the scale, SOCOM Gear offers a new option for the war gamer.

China vests are the cheapest way to get such apparel on your loadout, their low quality makes it unsuitable for heavy use but ideal for the starter or lighter stress gamer who needs not go full bore quality but instead can maintain a low budget. Pantac vests are the more expensive Airsoft vests available, using Codura for high constitution build whilst faithfully replicating milspec vests and apparel.

SOCOM Gears series approach instead shows signs not of replication but redesign; their vest is very reminiscent of real steel styling but makes no attempt to re-create a real steel design but instead offers a whole new design. Not based on military requirement features, this vest is made for war gamers; its comfortable, light and lacks features which are generally unnecessary for war gamers. Furthermore, it lacks the extreme robust nature of Pantac knowing that most gamers are not that extreme themselves, asking little more of their vests other then baring loads and holding up under conditions little worse then only occasionally crawling as the likelihood of being dragged by a BMW is fairly slim in contemporary Airsoft.
