This DIY Kit is an assembly and troubleshooting guide that teaches the reader how to take apart, service, and optimize a mechbox. Ultra ROF is the focus here.
In response to the compatibility problems from different manufacturers, the author has specially stated all sorts of compatibility and fitting issues, which have to be properly addressed along the assembly process. The author also pays close attention to many small and frequently-ignored details that are in fact critical to the smooth operation of the mechbox. We give you the gearbox shell so you can try the ultra ROF techniques taught in the ebook, in particular the accurate enlargement of the bushing space holders for accompanying 7mm/8mm/9mm ball bearings and the smoothing out (waxing) of the internal surface of the shell.
Also provided is a piston/spring set and a replacement O ring. You may use this "practice piston" set to try out the various piston optimization tricks such as teeth removal and piston weight cut.
