TSC Gear Sector Type - SF X-Series Mount (Tan)  
Mounts an off-angle accessory rail below and to the left if mounted on a left side rail or above and to the right if mounted on the right.

Though the standard rail could technically allow you to attach almost anything it is clearly designed for the purpose of allowing an easy angled attachment of lasers and flashlights. The 35mm long rail is not a lot of real estate but it is enough for most basic rail attach bracket mounts required to attach flashlights and lasers.
