The FN F2000 is an individual 5.56mm weapon system, developed at the turn of the 21st century by the Belgian armament manufacturer Fabrique Nationale (FN) of Herstal. G&G gifts us with their new comer, their very own replica of this modern piece of engineering. G&Gs G2010 is a replica of the standard version of the real steel, this scoped version featuring the distinctive integrated scope in this case being a fixed 3.5x magnification with cross hair reticule.
This bullpup weapon features all the inherent advantages of its breed; the compact size combined with full length rifle barrel, the deep seating of balance center when shouldered for rapid aim acquisition. The G2010 has the added advantage of feeding STANAG magazines thus spare magazines are easy to find and you can even exchange magazine with your AR wielding brethren in the heat of battle.
Like G&Gs other models, this piece joins a line of quality products; superior to simple china clones, the G2010 is a choice skirmishable piece out of box and yet is still internally compatible enough with aftermarket parts to accept upgrades of power or reinforcement if your operating is that harsh a mistress.
The FN2000 design is repurposed, the romance of this contemporary assault rifle is distilled and imbued in the aesthetics of the G2010 whilst putting to use the tried and tested technologies that drive so many of our favored AEGs. A further quirk, these weapons have unique serial numbers.
A couple of user notes; the trigger is two stage like the AUG (half way for semi, full pull for auto) and the battery solution is rear-wired in the stock (small connector). The scope cover can be removed to access the scope dials for adjustment or even removing the cover and scope entirely to make use of the integrated accessory rail. Do make note that the rail on this version is set lower and as such will almost certainly need a high mounting optic to be in the correct position (to clear the rear hump).
